Man Arrested in Shooting at Convenience Store in Lafayette

Kevin Auguillard has been arrested after a shooting nearly three weeks ago at a convenience store in the 800 block of N. University Avenue.

Lafayette Police Department PIO Sgt. Wayne Griffin says Auguillard now sits in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on charges of Attempted 1st Degree Murder (1 count), Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (1 count), and Armed Robbery (1 count). He was arrested on July 27 by agents with the Western District of Louisiana's United States Marshals' Violent Offender Task Force.

The shooting incident happened on July 10.
