Man Wanted On Obscenity Charges Turns Himself In

The Lafayette Police Department confirms that the man that has been accused of exposing  himself to several Lafayette women has been arrested.

Police say that 29-year-old Charleston Washington turned himself into police last night at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

Bond has been set at $25,000 for each of the three of the obscenity charges that Washington is facing.

After complaints about this man surfaced in neighborhood Facebook groups, the man's picture from video surveillance was released through the media.

Police then say they were able to identify Washington as the man that the woman have said was seen doing inappropriate things in public.

The Jades criminal system shows that Washington will go before a judge on Friday.
