This Friday through Saturday at Girard Park in Lafayette is the world's largest celebration of Cajun and Creole culture, aka, Festivals Acadiens et Créoles. This wonderful event features great live music, fantastic food, arts and crafts, cooking demonstrations and much more.

If you have ever gone to the Festival, you know that parking can sometimes be challenging. Most of the time, the neighborhoods around Girard Park are fairly accommodating as far as letting folks park in front of their homes on the street, but that is very limited.

So, the fine folks at the Festival want to remind everyone of the parking options:

  • Cajun Field - shuttles will run on Saturday & Sunday
  • UL campus parking lots - several new lots on campus are available this year
  • Bike corral available along Girard Park Lane behind Culture Sur la Table
