Earlier this morning, Acadiana saw strong winds, flash flooding and huge hail. The storms have stopped for now, but a second wave of weather is headed our way.
A possible tornado has hit St. Mary Parish. The Sheriff's Office confirming to our news partners at KATC that they have gotten reports of a twister touching down near the high school in Morgan City's Lake End Park area.
Severe Thunderstorm watches and warnings have been posted for a good portion of 97.3 The Dawg's listening area early this morning. The National Weather Service Radar from Lake Charles indicates the heaviest weather has yet to move through the heart of the region.
