As Tropical Storm Francine approaches, animal shelters across Louisiana are forced to make incredibly tough decisions. Every rescue and shelter is at max capacity, and with a major storm headed our way, many animals will be euthanized if fosters don't come forward.
Parish funds will cover the cost of the procedures, but the effort now leaves us to wonder if the people of Lafayette would welcome a similar ordinance.
Mayor-President Joel Robideaux signed an ordinance that re-allocates funds for the construction of a new Lafayette Animal Shelter and Care Center (LASCC).
