Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin announced on Monday, December 19 that he is banning TikTok on all devices owned or leased by his agency (Department of State).

President Donald Trump has been talking about shutting down TikTok and now he's acted upon it. Last night, he signed an executive order to shut down the use of the Chinese-based apps TikTok and WeChat in 45 days.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said the U.S. is considering a ban on the popular app TikTok and other Chinese social media apps.
