According to the flyer, the blood drive is "in support of those affected by our recent tragedy".

This Thursday, July 9th and Friday, July 10th we invite you roll up your sleeves and give the gift of life. United Blood Services along with Townsquare Media are presenting the annual "Race Against the Clock" blood drive.

Gifted student Grace Turner is 14-years-old, and she was in go kart accident that required her to use blood.

Crowley residents have the opportunity to celebrate life and the annual Rice Festival festivities by joining in the Annual Rice Festival blood Drive.

97.3 The Dawg is once again proud to be part of the Race Against Clock Marathon Blood Drive with our friends at United Blood Services. The 2-day, 24-hour community event is scheduled or Thursday, July 10th from 7am-10pm then Friday, July 11th from 7am-4pm.

Our friends at United Blood Services are holding its 4th of July Blood Drive this week and there are plenty of opportunities for you to help out.

United Blood Services and 97.3 The Dawg are saving lives like clock work in Acadiana for the 6th annual Race Against the Clock Blood Drive from Thursday, July 11th at 7am to Friday, July 12th at 7am. United Blood Services’ center at 1503 Bertrand Drive will remain open for the entire 24 hours to accept blood donations. They will have lots of food, prizes and thank you gifts.

Give blood and you’ll have a chance to win an Apple iPad OR a $500 Visa Gift Card just in time for Christmas (or spending money for the New Orleans Bowl)! A total of ten lucky winners will be chosen during the Blood Drive and all blood donors receive a 'Keep Calm and Save Lives' t-shirt while supplies last through December 31st.
