Joseph Dakota Richey is now out of jail after being credited for time served over the last three years following the fatal crash involving UL student Brad Wedlock.

26-year-old Joseph Dakota Richey has pleaded guilty in the fiery fatal crash in Lafayette that killed UL Lafayette graduate student Brad Wedlock in April of 2017.

24-year-old Joseph Dakota Richey, the man accused in the fiery fatal crash that killed UL student Brad Wedlock in April, is now sitting in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on a $1 million bond.

While being transported from the Lafayette Parish Courthouse back to jail Joseph Dakota Richey spoke publicly for the first time.

UL Student Brad Wedlock was killed in the crash with Dakota Richey in April.

Brad Wedlock was due to graduate last month.

The man accused of killing 28-year-old Brad Wedlock in a fiery crash earlier this month in Lafayette made an appearance in court this morning on previous charges.
