Over three years ago, I wrote a story here on our website about some funny Cajun words and phrases. They were basically French words we use that give us a good chuckle in the way they sound or the meaning behind them.

With a lot of help from friends and listeners of 97.3 The Dawg, here's the running list of things you'll never hear said in south Louisiana.

Any of us who have lived in south Louisiana more than 15 minutes know how unique of an area it is that we call home. As we become a more homogenized "neck of the woods", I think it's important that we celebrate the things that have and continue to make us special.
