An amazing night of local and regional talent was on display last night at Cowboy's Night Club in Lafayette for the annual Country Showdown.

Meet the contestants for this year's Country Showdown which will be held Saturday, July 23rd at Cowboy's Night Club in Lafayette.

Many now famous country music stars got their start in the music business at their local Country Showdown competition.

For the last few weeks we have been allowing you to send in your demos to enter this year's Showdown. Our Green Label Panel of judges have combed through the entries and selected the top 10.

This year's Country Showdown is set for Saturday, July 23rd at Cowboy's Night Club in Lafayette and brought to you by Service Chevrolet Cadillac. The Showdown gives you the opportunity to perform on stage and hopefully launch your very own singing career.

This year's title went to Sue Ellen Lindsey from all the way up in Taylor, Arkansas. Sue did a sizzling performance of an original song she wrote called "Buckwild".
