It's summertime in Louisiana. We all know that brings along sweltering heat and higher electricity bills. If U.S. District Judge Brian Jackson has his way, Angola prison's power bills will be increasing as well.
Obviously the state has a federal mandate to keep the most wretched criminals of the criminal community cool and comfortable while they enjoy their stay as guests of the Louisiana taxpayer.
Louisiana prison officials have submitted a plan to keep death row inmates cool this summer. The plan is under review and includes air conditioning and cold showers for those convicted of society's most heinous crimes.
