Authorities are on alert and urging the public to exercise caution after a man broke into a Louisiana high school early Monday.

The Jennings Police Department has issued an urgent warning to residents near Jennings High School and the adjacent I-10 corridor as the search intensifies for a suspect considered armed and dangerous.

Police do have a suspect identified in the incident which took place on Gallup Street Wednesday afternoon.
