They'll be honored in October.

At a recent stop on Kelsea Ballerini's tour with the Jonas Brothers, Ballerini was joined by a surprise guest.

Ballerini covered "Teardrops on My Guitar" during a medley in Las Vegas.

She sings, "But the one thing every family has, whatever they may be / Is the thing that we call love / That's what makes a family."

They've since become good friends.
