For the second year in a row, a member of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team has been drafted into the Women's Professional Fastpitch softball league.

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team will be back at home this weekend for a big Sun Belt Conference series against Appalachian State and they've got a slew of special activities lined up.

UL Softball came into the Sun Belt tournament determined to leave as champions. Throughout the tournament, they were laser-focused as they defeated Coastal Carolina 4-2, Troy 9-1, and Texas State 1-0 on their way to the championship game. In the championship game, they had a rematch against Texas State where the Cajuns won 7-1.

UL Softball is in a weekend series with Appalachian State. The Cajuns lost game 1 Friday afternoon 1-4. So on Saturday, they were looking for redemption as they beat App State 8-2.

It's the second time this year she's earned the honor.
