Possum

Over the Mardi Gras weekend, "Saffron" the pet possum was confiscated from his owner by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries in the French Quarter.

This past weekend my youngest went to a birthday party at an Acadiana public park. When I picked him up, he told me "Hey, before we go I want to show you Mr. Opossum's grave". My first reaction was "Please tell me you didn't kill a possum".

OK, I really don't like possums. I also don't like saying opossum. All that being said, this video is pretty great. This family rescued a possum a while back who was in a bad situation. Here the possum is reunited with the kind folks who saved him, and the joy exuded from this fella is incredible.
