22-year-old Michael Nugent of Rayne has been charged with two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder after an incident Sunday night just north of Rayne on Highway 35.

The Bryan Badon Memorial Concert will be held at the Rayne Frog Festival Pavillion today from noon to midnight. All proceeds will go to Bryan's wife and kids to help defray funeral expenses. Bryan was a long-time musician who played with many local bands and tragically lost his life in an automobile accident earlier this year.
