Since it is Thanksgiving week Acadiana residents can expect some changes to be made with trash pickup. Several of the trash services in Acadiana have already announced changes for later this week.

One of the services that many of us will be looking forward to returning is trash pickup. For a good chunk of Acadiana, that won't be until Tuesday at the earliest.

The event will allow residents an opportunity to dispose of items that can't easily be picked up curbside.

Perhaps I will ask the person that appears in my home security video why they feel the need to steal.

Throughout February and March, Republic Services was late on garbage pickup, in some cases days late. As a result, Mark Dubroc, public works director for LCG says Republic will face "a very substantial" fine.

Residents in Lafayette Parish who have regularly scheduled garbage or recycling collection on Friday, will receive those services on Friday, as both Republic Services and the Recycling Foundation will work on Good Friday.

When should you put your can on the curb? A day later than you normally do if you live in Lafayette.
