A subtropical storm has formed southwest of Bermuda before the official start of the Atlantic Hurricane Season.

An area of disturbed weather over the Yucatan Peninsula is currently under scrutiny from the National Hurricane Center. Could this mass of clouds and storms become Chantal, the third named storm of the season?

From KATC   Tropical Storm Andrea is still pushing toward the Florida coastline with winds of 60mph this morning. The forecast track moves Andrea toward a relatively unpopulated area of northern Florida between Apalachicola and Tampa. Severe weather is expected over central and southern Florida today along with very heavy rains.
