The promoters of Flambeau Fest have issued a statement concerning the potential weather event created by Tropical Storm Nate this weekend in south Louisiana.
Battling through tropical storm conditions in the Bay of Campeche rescuers located a lifeboat from the Trinity II. Inside the lifeboat capsule they found 7 of the rig workers alive, two had perished and the 10th was still missing. South Louisiana residents Jeremy Parfait and Ted Derise were listed among the survivors.

The four workers from Acadiana have been identified as Jeremy Parfait of Houma, Craig Myers, Ted Derise Jr., and Nick Reed all of New Iberia. These men are all employed by Trinity Liftboats LLC of New Iberia.
