Several Louisiana agencies teamed up for a raid of vape shops throughout the state, making arrests and pulling business permits.

As of November 1, the final stage of Louisiana's sweeping vape regulations has taken effect, bringing significant changes to the way vaping products are sold and purchased within the state. This comprehensive overhaul of vape laws, initiated earlier this year, is aimed at curbing the marketing of vaping products to minors and improving oversight in the industry.

In recent years vaping has gained popularity as an alternative to smoking cigarettes. Many people have been led to believe that vaping is the safer option however, recent studies suggest that vaping can lead to long-term health issues. One major area of concern is the potential link to infertility in men who vape.

There have been 35 reported cases of lung injuries involving e-cigarettes or vaping products since August of 2019.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said in a statement Friday (8-6) that they cannot pinpoint one particular product as the cause of the recent severe lung disease outbreak.
