The 31st annual event has come a long way since the first handful of chefs participated in the inaugural event in 1989.

The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce has announced their annual World Championship Gumbo Cookoff event will take place this year, and will be an in-person event.

The 27th annual World Championship Gumbo Cook Off is set for October 8 and 9 in downtown New Iberia.

The 25th annual World Championship Gumbo Cook Off will be held in New Iberia on October 10-12. Come join the fun, sha!
