Vote for the People’s Choice Award for the Country Showdown

This Friday, August 1st at Cowboy's Nightclub in Lafayette is the annual Country Showdown -- America's longest running country music singing competition.

Doors will open at 7pm with the Showdown beginning at 8pm. Dustin Sonnier & The Wanted will be the backing band for the night.

A big thanks to Service Chevrolet Cadillac for once again sponsoring this year's Country Showdown.

We've got some great prizes for the top three finishers:

Winner receives: A plaque, $200 Cowboys Western Store gift certificate, & $350 prize pack from Guitar Center
Runner-Up receives: A plaque & $100 Cowboys Western Store gift certificate
Third Place receives: A plaque & $50 Cowboys Western Store gift certificate

In addition to these fantastic prizes, we have something new this year -- a People's Choice Award. That's where your help is needed.

Watch & listen to the following video. It's audio clips from each of the 10 contestants. After listening, place your vote as to who you like the best. The contestant with the most votes before the Showdown starts will win a pair of Miranda Lambert concert tickets and will own the title of People's Choice Award winner heading into the competition.
