All general contest rules apply. Below are specific rules for the Yardi Gras and Mardi Gras on the Geaux contest:
Rules for Yardi Gras and Mardi Gras on the Geaux.
The contests will run from 12:00 am February 1, 2021 to 12:00 PM February 16, 2021
1.All pictures must be original photographs. Photoshopped or doctored photographs will be disqualified at the discretion of the contest administrators.
2. This contest is about celebrating Mardi Gras in Lafayette. So, all photographs must be taken at a physical location that is within a 35-mile radius of Lafayette Louisiana.
3. All participants agree that their image and likeness may be used in any and all promotions of this contest. If the image contains the likeness of more than one individual, the individual submitting the image to the contest is responsible for obtaining permission to use said likeness before a submission is made. Should the submission contain the image of a minor child, the individual submitting the contest entry is responsible for obtaining all permissions before the submission is made. It is the responsibility of the individual submitting the entry into the contest to have obtained all of these permissions before the submission is made. Contest Administrators reserve the right to disqualify any image in which there is a dispute over submission permissions. By submitting an entry into the contest the submitter agrees to hold harmless TownSquare Media, the Great Southwest Louisiana Mardi Gras Association, or any other associated sponsors harmless.
4. Participation in the contest is voluntary.
5. All submissions made in the Yardi Gras division of this contest must depict a home, business, or structure that is physically located within the geographical area described in Rule 2. The submitter must be able to provide proof of residence if the image entered is a dwelling. If the submission is of a business proof of employment at said business or ownership of said business must be provided upon request.
All submissions in the Mardi Gras on the Geaux Division must be taken along the Official Southwest Louisiana Mardi Gras Association Parade route as defined by this illustration. The image must clearly depict said location along the route to be considered.
5.The decisions of the contest administrators are final in any or all disputes concerning entries and qualification for either of the contest
