#1 LSU's record-setting offense set a few more in Saturday night's 56-20 win over Arkansas.

With the victory, LSU wins the SEC West for the first time in 8 years, punching their ticket to the SEC Championship game in Atlanta on December 7th for a matchup with #4 Georgia.

Before that, LSU (11-0) celebrates senior day next Saturday night at 6:00 in Tiger Stadium against Texas A&M (7-4).

"We're not done yet," said Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron. "There will be no celebrating tonight...We have bigger goals."

As for the win over the Razorbacks, LSU became the first SEC school in history to have a 4,000-yard passer (Joe Burrow), 1,000-yard rusher (Clyde Edwards-Helaire) and two 1,000 yard receivers (Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson).

Suffice to say, all 4 of those Tigers will create even more distance as LSU will play 3, and potentially 4 more games if they reach the College Football Playoff National Championship.

"We have 4 more games left this year," said Burrow, who also spoke of the bigger goals at play. "The ones (records) we're breaking this year may not be broke."

LSU only held the ball for 19:06, due in part to scoring so fast, as the Tigers racked up 612 yards of total offense.

Burrow, who has a stranglehold on the Heisman Trophy, threw 23 completions for 327 yards and 3 touchdowns, heading to the bench in the 3rd quarter to give backup Myles Brennan some reps.

LSU's run game averaged 16.3 yards a carry, led by the reliable Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who only rushed 6 times, but for 188 yards (31.3 yards per carry) and 3 touchdowns. He also reeled in 7 catches for 65 yards, to finish the game with 253 total yards and an average of 19.5 per touch. He rested on the bench with Burrow in the 4th quarter.

Edwards-Helaire sat at 99 yards rushing in the 3rd quarter, and Orgeron mentioned to the offensive staff they should take him out. The staff told him, "one more play", as they wanted to let him reach 100 yards rushing. With 1 carry, he took it 89 yards to the house.

"It parted like the Red Sea, and I figured I'd take it," said a smiling Edwards-Helaire. "People talk about breakaway speed and stuff like that. I hope that was fast enough for them."

Ja'Marr Chase led the Tigers in receiving with 6 catches, 144 yards, and 2 touchdowns, while Jefferson reeled in a TD pass of his own.

The Razorbacks added 2 cosmetic touchdowns late in the game, upsetting any bettors who had the Tigers -43.

"Our whole defensive staff was fired up," said Orgeron. "I thought they did some really good things tonight."

Arkansas finished with 304 yards, despite holding the ball for 40:54.

While Orgeron mentioned "bigger goals", ie a national championship, he's making sure his squad isn't looking past what lies next.

"We're 11-0. We're proud of that, but our focus will be on beating Texas A&M, and that's it....we don't talk about rankings or nothing like that....it's not the time to do that."

After losing a controversial 7 overtime game at Texas A&M last year, the Tigers are ready for the rematch.

"I'm ready to watch film on them tonight," said Edwards-Helaire. "Hopefully I can get some sent to the iPad."
