$15K Reward Now Being Offered For Information In Whooping Crane Shooting Case
There is now a $15,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of whoever is responsible for the shooting of 2 endangered whooping cranes this month, killing one of them.
Zoos from Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts and Operation Migration have all put up money for the $15,000 reward.
The 2 Whooping cranes were shot Feb. 7 at a crawfish pond near Roanoke in Jefferson Davis Parish. Apparently they were a mated pair.
Just how rare are Whooping Cranes? There are only about 600 of the birds alive, which is why this case is so serious.
