Weird Food Holidays
OK, here in Louisiana, no food is weird, and we celebrate everything from crawfish to okra in festivals all over the state. That being said, some of these weird food celebrations sound crazy even to us. For example, Lima Bean Respect Day and Julienne Fries Day seem tasty, but a tad condescending to me.(Sorry, lima bean lovers)
Check out some of the 'left of center' food inspired holidays that we found from delish.com, and get ready to celebrate the humble Weiner Schnitzel from now on. Some of my favorites are below, but be sure to check out the entire list, because we know you'll probably want to throw a party!
