9:30AM – 240 Positive Cases Of COVID-19 Confirmed In Louisiana, 5th Death Reported

The Louisiana Department of Health issued its 9:30 a.m. update for Wednesday, March 18th. Of the 240 cases confirmed in Louisiana 176 of the cases are in the greater New Orleans area. 597 tests have been performed. There are still no confirmed cases in Acadiana. The next update is due out later today at 5:30 p.m.
UPDATE: According to our media partners at KATC a 98-year-old patient at the Lambeth House in New Orleans is the 5th person to die from the coronavirus.
