Grounded Coffee Getting Ready to Open in Carencro

A highly anticipated coffee shop opening is right around the corner in Carencro. The owners of Grounded Coffee have announced their new location at 3414 N. University Avenue is set to soft open next Monday, August 24. The other Grounded location is at 832 Napoleon Avenue in Sunset.

Grounded Coffee has traditional premium coffee offerings like latte, cappuccino, Americano, and drip coffee. Some of their specialty coffees include truffle, French toast, nutty bar, honeymoon, and create-your-own options.

Back Nine Bringing Indoor Golf to Lafayette

In Lafayette, there's a new indoor golf simulator chain called Back Nine that will be opening soon at 3809 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, Suite 133-C (in The Park shopping center, which includes La Pizzeria and Charley G's, among others).

According to its website, Back Nine Lafayette will open Thursday, August 27. In a recent Facebook post, tee time reservations are expected to go live on August 20.

LensCrafters Moves to New Lafayette Location

Another chain recently moved its Lafayette store. LensCrafters, formerly at 5725 Johnston Street, is now in Ambassador Crossing and located at 4243 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy Suite 113.

This is the shopping center that is anchored by Whole Foods Market. And more specifically, LensCrafters is now next door to Carter's children's clothing store.

Scott Business Gets New Owners and New Name

And a final note, Walker First Turn in Scott has new owners and a bit of a new name. It's now Arceneaux First Turn Powersports, as the Arceneaux family has purchased the business. They are long-time owners of Arceneaux Ford in New Iberia.

The business will continue to offer mowers, tractors, trailers, side-by-sides, ATVs, and more.
