If you haven't seen the Acadiana Roller Girls in action then you don't know what hard hitting and fast action are all about. Yes, we have a roller derby team in Acadiana and yes they are good. The home schedule for the Roller Girls comes to a close in tonight's double header against Lafitte's Ladies, a team from Lake Charles.

The action takes place at Top Shelf Sports on the corner of Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Highway 92. Tailgating begins at 4pm with doors opening at 5pm. The first of the night's two bouts will begin at 6pm. Tickets are available at the door for $15 and concessions will be sold. There are grand stand seats available at the arena but fans can bring their own chairs and actually sit track side.

The Acadiana Roller Girls are a non-profit organization and they use a portion of their proceeds to benefit local causes such as Lafayette Animal Aid and tonight's beneficiary, Literacy Inc.

If the world of college football is too tame for you and you want to see some real hitting come out for the final home bout of the season for your Acadiana Roller Girls tonight. Any sport where you wake up the next morning and wonder how you got wheel marks on your inner thigh is worth watching.
