Arden Key Temporarily Stepping Away From LSU Football For Personal Reasons
One of LSU's best defensive players is stepping away from the football team for an unspecified amount of time for personal reasons.
Arden Key, a 2015 freshmen All-American, is coming off sophomore season in 2016 in which he set a single-season sack record with 12.
Ross Dellenger of The Advocate reports Key is "fine", according to his Father, and remains enrolled at LSU.
“In consultation with our staff and his family, Arden Key has decided to take some time away from football for personal reasons," said LSU head coach Ed Orgeron in a statement. "We fully support Arden in his decision and look forward to welcoming him back home to the Tiger family at the appropriate time.”
