Arrests Made in Louisiana Gas Station Fire
Fire investigators believe a fire that damaged a business in DeRidder was intentionally set. Officers with the State Fire Marshal's Office arrested two men on arson charges yesterday in connection with the alleged crime.
Investigators believe that Bradley Treme, the owner of the business, and Denver Cooley an employee of the business and relative of Treme intentionally set the blaze on January 23rd.
According to reports, Cooley admitted to officers with the State Fire Marshal's Office that the fire was intentionally set at the failing business in hopes of recovering money from the company's insurance provider.
Instead, both Cooley and Treme are facing one count of arson with intent to defraud and one count of criminal conspiracy. The two men are currently incarcerated at the Beauregard Parish Jail.
