As beaches cautiously opened in parts of the Florida panhandle on Friday, May 1, not all were happy to be somewhat back to normal. In Miramar Beach, which is in Walton County, a local citizen named Daniel W. Uhlfelder, an attorney, dressed as the Grim Reaper and roamed the sparkling white sand to protest the beaches being reopened during the coronavirus epidemic. In a not so subtle approach to the decision by local officials, Mr Uhlfelder was interviewed by a reporter from WMBB (below) about why he was protesting in such a bold manner.
