How The Virtual Academy Works

The online learning program allows students to complete coursework from home while remaining enrolled in the public school system.

According to WBRZ.com, younger students use online curriculum alongside teacher-guided instruction, while middle and high school students access web-based courses designed to allow independent learning with oversight from certified educators. Students can log in, complete assignments, participate in lessons, and communicate with instructors.

Families considering the option are encouraged to evaluate whether their child can stay focused, follow schedules, and complete assignments without the structure of a traditional classroom.
