Atchafalaya Catfish Festival is Oct 8-10

The 13th annual Atchafalaya Catfish Festival will be held in Melville October 8 -10 on the grounds of the Civic Center at 1105 First St. This family friendly event is a favorite in the area, and promises to have some of the best catfish in the state of Louisiana. You don't want to miss the big Kick Off Party on Friday night beginning at 6:00 pm., and the Catfish Parade will be held on Saturday morning, followed by live music from Lil Nate, Grand Slam, and Stoney.

Come out for carnival rides, great food and beverages, music, art, and lots of blackened, fried, grilled, courtbouillon, and every other kind of delicious catfish that you can think of! This is a great local celebration of the humble catfish, so treat yourself to a trip to Melville for the fun!
