How Much Is AT&T Raising Its Fees Starting August 5?

Starting August 5, 2026, the telecommunications company is raising the monthly cost of its Administrative & Regulatory Cost Recovery Fee by $1. According to the AT&T Mobility Fee Schedule, that amount is increasing from $3.99 per month to $4.99 per month.

Additionally, the Administrative Fee for business, government, and non-consumer customers is increasing from $2.49 per month to $3.49 per month, according to the AT&T website.

What Is the AT&T Administrative & Regulatory Cost Recovery Fee?

These fees help AT&T recover expenses such as interconnection charges with other providers and certain government fees, like Wireless Tower Mandate Costs, State Consumer Privacy Laws, Public Rights-of-Way Acquisition Costs, and Federal Privacy-Related Mandate Costs.

Are You on an Older AT&T Plan? Your Increase Could Be Much Higher

Some customers will see more than a $1-a-month increase. AT&T is raising rates on some of its older plans, ranging from a $6-per-month increase for single lines to a $12-per-month increase for family plans. For plans like the AT&T Unlimited Your Way smartphone tiers, the increase amounts to $5 per line.
