Watching Southeastern Conference football is a religious experience. Not the good kind of religion where the world is  a better place and we all love each other more, but the kind of religion that suggests exploding things and violence. Yesterday Auburn and Georgia met for the 117th time. It is the Deep South's oldest college football rivalry.

Auburn had beaten Georgia like a rented mule for most of the game. To Georgia's credit they fought back and actually took the lead on a play that some would say was not a touchdown. After further review and some serious bad language in my living room the play was counted and Georgia looked as if it had pulled off a major comeback. Auburn was now down to its final play. It was fourth down and 18 to go for a first down and :36 seconds left in the game. That is when this play happened.
