How Louisiana’s Best High Schools Were Ranked

Actually, as part of their latest report, they ranked the high schools in Louisiana to find out which ones are performing the best.

In this ranking, U.S. News & World Report analyzed schools' graduation rate, performance on state-required tests and how well schools prepare students for college.

The report is part of a review of the entire United States. U.S. News & World Report reviewed more than 24,000 U.S. public high schools and 311 Louisiana schools made their rankings.

The Top 10 High Schools in Louisiana

Here are the top 10 ranked Louisiana high schools:

1. Benjamin Franklin High School (2002 Leon C Simon Drive, New Orleans)

The Advanced Placement (AP) participation rate is 91% and 78% of students passed at least one AP exam. The school's graduation rate is approximately 95%.

2. Haynes Academy School for Advanced Studies (4301 Grace King Place, Metairie)

This school has a 100% AP participation rate, with 75% of students passing at least one AP exam. The school has a graduation rate of approximately 95%.

3. Patrick F. Taylor Science Technology Academy (701 Churchill Parkway, Avondale)

The AP participation rate at this school is 72% and 57% of students passed at least one AP exam. This school also has a graduation rate of approximately 95%.
