  • Grand Isle - historic barrier island with spectacular sunsets
  • The Gardens at the American Rose Center - beautiful botanical gardens in Shreveport
  • Oak Alley Plantation - antebellum home in Vacherie that is frequently used as a backdrop for movies and television shows. Probably the most famous plantation in the state. Rumored to have been used in the classic film 'Gone With The Wind'
  • Hodges Gardens State Park - located near the Toledo Bend Reservoir, with 700 acres of lush greenery. They have a spectacular sunrise service every Easter Sunday, that has become a beloved tradition
  • Natchitoches - the oldest community in Louisiana, and a quaint town located right on the Cane River
  • Chauvin Sculpture Garden - religious statuary and art, and a favorite destination for photographers
  • Houmas House Plantation - located on the Mississippi River, and is a unique setting for weddings and movie sets alike. Was used in the 1964 film 'Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte'
  • North Toledo Bend Reservoir - largest reservoir in the state, right on the border of Louisiana and Texas
  • Tunica Falls - one of the only natural waterfalls in Louisiana
  • South Toledo Bend Reservoir - beautiful outdoor scenery, and filled with native wildlife. The water lilies are a favorite to photograph
  • Chicot State Park - home to beautiful bayous and cypress swamps
  • French Quarter - this historic New Orleans neighborhood is one of the oldest in the state, and one of the most popular tourist destinations
