Beware of Dog Scammers!

This news comes not only as the family is trying to recover after Beth's death in Hawaii, but as Dog and his team are fending off social media scammers intent on taking money from fans. The 66-year-old reality television star says he's heard of some people giving up to $5,000 to scammers on Facebook and other social media. He wants fans to know he'll never initiate a friend request and won't ask for money.

Beth Chapman died after battling cancer on June 26. The 51-year-old starred alongside Dog and their family in several shows, most notably Dog the Bounty Hunter from 2004 to 2012. In September a new series called Dog's Most Wanted will begin on WGN. Beth's battle with cancer is a large part of the plotline.
