Bringing Home the Nina and Her Crew Benefit Concert

Don't forget about the big benefit concert going on this Saturday, September 7, 2013 for Danielle Wright, Lafayette native and UL student who is one of the seven crew members that was on the Nina. Danielle's family and friends could certainly use everyon'e help and aid for the search missions.

In case you aren't familiar with the missing Nina, the historic 70’ yacht Nina is believed to be drifting after encountering storms while sailing from New Zealand to Australia. Danielle’s parents, Ricky and Robin Wright, contacted Texas Equusearch (TES) to spearhead the search. TES came to Lafayette to search for Mickey Shunick one year ago.

The fundraiser is going to be a family fun day with awesome entertainemnt, food, and prizes. Many local groups have donated their time and talents to help the search efforts including Geno Delafose & French Rockin’ Boogie, Travis Matte and The Kiingpins, Mackenzie Bourg, Dustin Ray and Southern Grove, American Heart Band, Mike Dean, Shawn and Lance Band, Beau Young, and Jamie Bergeron & Kickin’ Cajuns.
