Even though the stay-at-home order in Louisiana was lifted last Friday, there have been a lot of restaurants still not open or open to patrons for inside dining.

One of those restaurants that has yet to reopen is the famous Café Du Monde in the New Orleans French Quarter. That changes soon.

The legendary beignet and coffee hot spot will reopen this Friday, May 22, according to Café Du Monde president Jay Roman.

The location in the French Quarter will be open for takeout from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm seven days a week. There will also be a limited number of tables available.

"As we did after Katrina we will begin with these hours and build back to 24 hours a day," said Roman.
