Carly Pearce and Michael Ray have confirmed that they are dating. The singers both turned to Instagram on Wednesday night (July 18) to share a picture of them snuggled up together on a sofa backstage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, laughing, making it clear they are a couple.

They apparently met at the Nashville Palace one night.

"And then one random night at the Nashville Palace changed everything," Pearce writes to accompany the photo, adding a heart emoji.

"One random night over old classic country music at @thenashvillepalace changed everything...." Ray says with the same picture on his official page.

The news comes on the heels of fan speculation that the two rising stars might be an item, since they've been flirting openly online recently. Ray posted a picture of himself on Wednesday morning in which he was looking in the mirror, remarking that his hair was rapidly going gray.

Pearce responded to his post by posting a drooling emoji and a fire emoji, and Ray then replied, “@carlypearce hey gurl you into fox’s [sic]? Or 30 year olds that can get that 50+ 10% off at a Golden Corral? Cause if you are," then adding an emoji of a dancing man.

"@michaelraymusic steakhouses are the way to my heart,” Pearce responded.

Asked about the social media exchange during a roundtable interview in Nashville that morning, Ray turned coy.

“When it comes time to talk about the dating life, it will come out,” he told assembled reporters (quote via One Country). “She’s a great girl and I think that she’s an incredible person. Right now everything on both ends are about both our singles and both our music, and it’ll come out. She’s great, I’m a big fan. I’ll leave it at that.”

Thirty-year-old Ray scored a No. 1 hit with his debut single, "Kiss You in the Morning," in 2015, and has also had hits with "Real Men Love Jesus" and "Think a Little Less." He recently released his sophomore album, Amos, which contains the single "Get to You."

Pearce, 28, also hit No. 1 with her debut single, "Every Little Thing," in 2017. It's the title song of her debut album, which also includes her current single, "Hide the Wine."
