Well, we all have our favorites, and its incredible to think that some folks don't have  the delicious choices we have here in the Bayou State. Crawfish, jambalaya, cracklin, gumbo-are you hungry yet? Our friends at Louisiana Travel and Road Trips Foodie have compiled a list that is making me want to jump up and head to the nearest gas station for some boudin balls...

OK, yes I am sad that Oprah's show is going away...so one last shout out to the queen of daytime tv. Her dogs have been a HUGE part of her 25 years, so for that reason alone, we salute you, Oprah. Cutest pups, ever, ya'll!

Summer time means vacation time! I'm always on the lookout for hotel bargains, because that just leaves me more money to SHOP.

The fourth and latest installment in the Disney money machine known as Pirates of the Caribbean is being released today. No doubt it'll blow up the box office. But it hasn't been a hit with the critics. Seems everything I've read has panned it as a "cash grab by Disney".

As summer is approaching, and vacations are on our minds...it would be a shame to miss out on seeing some of these beautiful, wonderous places. I have never been to any of these, but my list is in hand, and I'm making plans....

The weekends are great for trying out new recipes. I always like to pull out something new for guests, or just for my own personal sense of "YES, I can do it!" Restaurants don't always release their secrets, so....enjoy these while you can!

I, like many people of my generation, owned a Volkswagen Beetle. It took me through my entire college career as a Ragin Cajun, and there are still days that I miss my little Bug. Now we have a hot new design for the 2012 version, so......you never know what you'll see me in at the beach in the future..reliving my college days with the top down on my Volkswagen Beetle!

Wow-this is totally awesome. I'm thinking my constantly on and off diet is going to be alot easier with this now!

Are you starting to get that panic feeling as you head to the gas pump, especially if it's a ways to go till payday? Honestly, I might need to get a part time job just to pay for gas to get to my REAL  job. Who's with me?!
