Come celebrate the 48th annual Earth Day in one of Acadiana's most historic and beautiful settings, Vermilionville. On Sunday, April 14th, the Bayou Vermilion District will host activities from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm to celebrate our beloved Mother Earth. Admission is free, so it's a great way to bring the family out for a day of fun in the beautiful outdoors.

You can paddle in Vermilionville's Petit Bayou, enjoy a yoga class, a clothing swap station, Clothes & Jewelry Fix-It Café, tree give-a-ways, environmental discussions, and food demonstrations. There are also tons of environmentally friendly activities for the kids, and be sure to bring an old t-shirt to make a reusable grocery bag!

Live entertainment will be provided by Nouveau String Band and Horace Trahan & the Ossun Express.
