Craig Morgan + More Country Artists Who Have Lost Children
Losing a child is an unimaginable loss. Whether a child is hours old or a grown man or woman, no parent should have to bury a son or daughter -- and yet, several country stars have had to endure this grief-filled event.
Five years ago, in July of 2016, the devastating loss of Craig Morgan's 19-year-old son Jerry rocked the country music community. He's (sadly) not the first, or last, country star to lose a child, even in the last few years.
Randy Rogers and his wife had to say goodbye to their daughter Rumer far too early, and George Strait lost his daughter Jenifer in a tragic car accident when she was just 13 years old. Other country singers whose lives have been forever marked by the loss of a child include Eddie Montgomery, Loretta Lynn -- who has, sadly, lost two children -- Willie Nelson, Eddie Rabbitt, Aaron Watson and Roy Rogers.
