Coastal Flood Advisory Issued For South Louisiana
As we all keep a sharp eye on the tropical disturbance in the Gulf, winds are expected to increase and push Gulf water onshore.
The Storm Team 3 Weatherlab reports a Coastal Flood Advisory has been issued for Calcasieu, Cameron, Iberia, St. Mary and Vermilion parishes from 1 AM Wednesday until 1 PM on Friday.
The reason for this is because tides are expected to be 2-3 ft above normal levels starting Wednesday morning and lasting until Friday afternoon.
KATC's Eric Zurnic says "those that live along the coast should take the necessary precautions to prepare for the high waters which could cover roadways."
