Three Country Music classics from Freddie Fender, Flatt and Scruggs, and Gene Autry will be inducted into the 2012 Grammy Hall of Fame. Autry's 1942 single, "Deep in the
Heart of Texas," will be joined by Fender's 1975 single, "Wasted Days and Wasted
Nights" and Flatt & Scruggs' 1957 album, Foggy Mountain Jamboree.
Recognizing a variety of genres, the induction class of 25 recordings also
includes Bill Cosby, Doris Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Rolling Stones,
Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen and Tina Turner. Titles must be 25 years old to be
recognized. The Grammy Awards will air live on Feb. 12 on CBS. Congrats to our awesome country music artists for making us proud once again!
