If you’re looking for a little international adventure, there’s one place you may be surprised to learn will welcome you with open arms.

The World Economic Forum has published a 500-page report on global tourism that includes a ranking of countries that are nice to tourists. What tops the list?

The nation edged New Zealand and Morocco for the gold medal. At the other end of the spectrum was Bolivia, which earned the not-so-honorable honor of being named the country that is the least friendly to tourists.

And the next time you get irritated when someone asks you in broken English what’s the quickest way to the airport, keep this in mind: the U.S. finished 106th out of the 140 countries ranked.
