Since July law enforcement agencies in Acadia Parish, including the City of Crowley, have been working diligently to find out who is behind a rash of vandalism incidents at area churches. Since the incidents were first reported in the summer five different churches in Crowley have been attacked, some of those churches have been vandalized more than once.

Such is the case at Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church. As the faithful arrived for services on Sunday they were greeted with an all to familiar sight. Someone had bashed in a glass door of the church. Back on October 16th, a similar incident was reported at the church. So far, investigators do not have any suspects in either case.

Other houses of worship that have experienced vandalism during this stretch of bad behavior include the First Lutheran Church on West 8th Street in Crowley. That sanctuary has been vandalized twice as has Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church.

Jerusalem Baptist Church, St. Theresa Catholic Church, and First Church of the Nazarene, all in Crowley have reported acts of vandalism this year. If you have any information on these attacks please contact Crowley Police. You can remain anonymous and could be compensated for your information through the CrimeStoppers program.
