Crowley PD Officer Who Challenged City Council Gets Promoted

Last week at this time Officer Aaron Bertrand of the Crowley Police Department was being scrutinized for comments he made on social media. Officer Bertrand's comments regarding the action or inaction the council raised the ire of more than a few sitting council members.

This week Officer Bertrand is again in the news, but this time it's for something that's a lot different than an appearance before the Civil Service Board.

So, I guess we should correct ourselves, Officer Bertrand is now Corporal Bertrand.

By the way, the Civil Service Board hearing involving now Corporal Bertrand and the City Council basically turned into Ron Popeil politics.  It's as if the Civil Service Board decided to "set it and forget it". With more of an emphasis on the "forget it" part. Since there was no real decision reached in the matter its almost as if it never happened.
